Required Skills
The International Marketing team is responsible for managing the marketing activities for a network of over 400 venues across 73 markets, delivering c. $400m of annual box office revenue.

This Senior Marketing Project Manager, International will play a critical role in managing the timely flow of information and marketing materials between the IMAX Corporate teams in Playa Vista, Los Angeles and the International Marketing team members in London, Dublin, Moscow and Tokyo.

Based in Playa Vista, this role will be the eyes, ears and voice of the International marketing team, advocating for the team across various Corporate Marketing touch-points, including: Creative, Brand Marketing, Film Marketing, Exhibitor Marketing, Digital & Social, Marketing Operations & Finance Strategy & Planning, and other IMAX Departments, including IMAX Live and IMAX Distribution.

What you'll be doing:

Planning/project management:

A core requirement of this role is ensuring that the International Marketing team receive the marketing assets and support they need in order to deliver the numerous Film, Brand and Exhibitor marketing campaigns that they are managing. This will require the Senior Marketing Project Manager to keep track of multiple campaign deadlines and deliverables and ensure that the Corporate teams are aware of the International team's needs, and that the International team are providing the relevant inputs and briefs in a timely manner.

Process optimization and development:

Working closely with the Head of International Film & Exhibitor Marketing and the Marketing Operations team, this role will be on the constant look-out for better, more efficient and effective ways of working, especially as it relates to the flow of information between Los Angeles and the regions.


Successfully managing the flow of information across multiple functions, departments, locations and time-zones is crucial for the success of this role. The Senior Marketing Project Manager will not only need to be able to listen, absorb and relay detailed information, they will also need to ensure that their voice is heard in an environment where there are many competing priorities, and limited resources.

Campaign Management:

This role will work closely with the Head of International Film & Exhibitor Marketing (based in London) to ensure that there is a holistic view of the marketing campaigns that are live or in development, and that relevant summaries are provided back to the Corporate Marketing teams.

Budget tracking:

Working with the regional marketing leads, Head of International Film & Exhibitor Marketing and the Marketing Finance team this role will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate marketing budget tracking occurs, and that invoices are received and processed in an efficient manner.

Campaign Analysis:

For major film and brand campaigns this role will assist in evaluating their effectiveness, determining their impact, and wherever possible establishing the ROI. Communicating learning and best practice will also be a requirement.

The position will, as required, also provide marketing support to strategically important IMAX projects.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum of 7 years of marketing experience in the theatrical or home entertainment industry, or relevant peripheral industries.
  • Fluency in English. Additional languages would be advantageous
  • Proficient in computer software, such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and will need to be willing to learn other operating platforms and delivery systems that support marketing.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent planning and project management skills
  • Detail oriented and thorough, with strong written and oral communication skills, as well as exceptional presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior executives - both external partners and internally.
  • Ability to anticipate and identify needs of partners and impart relevant, timely information clearly and accurately, coupled with excellent customer service skills.
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications, preferably in marketing.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in an environment of shifting priorities.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and influence outcomes with a proactive and thoughtful approach.
  • Able to both work in a team environment, and to work independently, be a self-starter and take the initiative
  • Creative, solution-orientated approach to problem solving.
