Illumio is seeking a talented engineer with strong Windows platform knowledge who will work on our industry leading Adaptive Segmentation Solution. Illumio is rethinking security for today’s dynamic Data Center and Cloud, and our solution is being adopted by many of the Fortune 100 companies.
We seek an engineer who will be building applications for the Illumio Virtual Enforcement Node — a software agent that runs inside application workloads to enforce security policies within the Illumio Adaptive Security Platform. Your code will help create a lean agent that delivers security by building on proven, pre-existing mechanisms inside the operating system in order to minimize its footprint. You will bring expertise in building networking services combined with extensive Windows platform knowledge that can be leveraged to build innovative solutions.
As a member of the Virtual Enforcement Node team you will own and design features for the Virtual Enforcement Node, from concept, design, development to release and support. You should be good at solving problems, be motivated/self-driven, and be ready to work with a strong team of engineers in a quickly growing company.
• 10+ years of experience in Windows systems software development
• Expertise in systems/low level software and background services on Windows
• Solid networking fundamentals (L2-L7)
• Deep understanding of Windows Networking and Winsock (API)
• Experience developing multi-threaded and multi-process applications
• Languages: Strong C++, C
• Windows Filtering Platform Experience (extremely nice to have)
• Windows Firewall
• Windows Installer
• Windows kernel development
• High performance and scalable systems
