Job Description

Work collaboratively with engineering and operations to architect, manage and secure all stages of the application lifecycle

Automate everything, to minimize manual work in all aspects of secure cloud deployment, security monitoring, and incident response for development and production environments

Be a Security mentor – make sure the infrastructure is secure using best practices/tools and teach others

Incident Response & Business Continuity – Plan and ensure efficient security incident response and plans for Systems availability and DR for the application

Work with Ops & IT teams to develop and deploy security network solutions in support of Cloud infrastructure – including standards for hosts, firewalls, load balancers and all parts of the infrastructure

Security escalation support – Participate in security incident response


3-5 years of experience infrastructure and cloud security
8+ years of security experience with expertise in securing enterprise web-app technologies
Experience securing public cloud service providers environments
Experience with developing security standards for cloud & virtual infrastructure, host, network and other     devices
Experience with security monitoring and management tools such as SEIM
Experience with network security tools such as Firewall, IDP/IDS and cloud security infrastructure (e.g. Security Groups, IAM, etc.)
Experience with operational monitoring tools
Experience with data center host-based security tools
Experience with security, audit, and protection tools

Strong scripting skills in at least one language other than *sh (preferred, but not required: Ruby, Python)
Experience in securing Ruby & Ruby on Rails applications a plus
Expertise with automation and configuration management frameworks, such as Chef or Puppet
General DevOps skills, able to participate in setting up, and configuring security infrastructure
Programming skills
BS degree in engineering, computer science or a related field
Startup experience
Familiarity with OpenStack or VMware virtualization software
