IT Infrastructure Project Manager - ATL

Responsibilities:

  • Project Manager / Scrum Master for an enterprise IT Operations department consisting of 3 - 5 medium sized teams of Engineering resources (i.e. Systems/Network/DevOps engineers; DBAs, etc.) – helping to implement and follow Agile methodology / Scrum process to maximize efficiency and productivity across the group. 
  • Manage and organize departmental projects from initiation to completion 
  • Coordinate with multiple groups across the organization (globally) to identify business priorities – and focus project initiatives and team workloads accordingly 
  • Leverage project management tools to communicate project activities and deliverable status to stakeholders (upper management; executive team) in a timely fashion 
  • Organize meetings and facilitate communication across teams – as well as across departments and project stakeholders throughout the organization
  • Responsible for keeping project deliverables on track – and for identifying any potential setbacks – and communicating them to project stakeholders appropriately 
  • Responsible for understanding resource availability – and scheduling project tasks and deliverables accordingly 
  • Solely responsible for stakeholder communications: status updates and progress reports. Monitor and control scope and schedule to ensure project is being delivered as planned on a daily basis
  • Develop a deep understanding of our product offering and vision to guide our teams

 

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years experience managing workloads and projects tasks for an IT operations team
  • Experience coordinating between Ops and Development teams
  • 3+ years project management or Scrum master experience with an Ops team (non-Dev)
  • Familiarity with an IT infrastructure environment (Infrastructure Services/Data Center Operations; AWS is a major plus)
  • Experience with Project Management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, etc)
  • Experience managing projects with teams across geographic locations
  • Experience working with an internet technology / software company
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (Experience with JIRA / Confluence is a plus)
  • Strong communication skills (would be responsible communicating with all groups across the organization; i.e. Ops, Dev, Product, CS, etc.)
