Desktop Support Specialist

IEX is looking for a Desktop Support Specialist to be responsible for Windows administration, user support, and office automation. You will have the opportunity to provide Level 1&2 support to employees from across the organization, including executive team members. Ideally, you have a few years of experience in a helpdesk/desktop support function, and are ready to take your talents to a high-growth FinTech firm.  

A few things we’re working on:

  • Upgrading all desktops to Windows 10 v.1703
  • Disaster recovery and desktop virtualization
  • Supporting new hires and overall company growth

About you:

  • Self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

What you’ll do:

  • Support and assist with Level 1&2 end user support, training, and desktop maintenance
  • Install, troubleshoot and upgrade all desktop OS, hardware, printers, and IT peripherals
  • Support the administration of Windows and Linux user accounts, office applications, and software
  • Configure and manage mobile devices and corporate laptops
  • Administer and support the use of conference room and A/V equipment
  • Conduct new hire administration, asset management, and IT inventory management
  • Coordinate with external vendors on purchasing and support of IT equipment
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for users and team members

 Your background:

  • Windows desktop and laptop user support experience
  • Experience with hardware management and inventory
  • Experience troubleshooting Apple devices
  • Knowledge of OS and computer infrastructure
  • A demonstrated passion for technology
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably technical
