Sr. Electrical Engineer

We are a security, technology start-up with corporate headquarters in Armonk, NY (Westchester County) and R&D and Manufacturing location in Boxborough, MA. As a Sr. Electrical Engineer, you will be part of a larger team of manufacturing, mechanical and software engineers, developing our next generation of solutions, as well as improving existing products. In addition to performing key electrical design tasks yourself, you will be supporting the engineering team by assisting with integration, documentation and improving our design process. Responsibilities:

• Create electrical concepts
• Specify components, design circuit boards and cables, design safety circuits, design motor drive systems
• Design to meet all regulatory testing (UL, CE, and others) and coordinate 3rd party test with Nationally Recognized Test Labs
• Prototype and Production Cost Estimation
• Document control and management
• Prototype designs
• Mentor Jr. engineers and interns

Qualifications:

• 10 or more years of professional experience
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• Circuit Board and cable layout experience
• Design experience for the full product development lifecycle (concept through production and support)
• Use of modern electrical design and documentation tools
• Experience with Arena PLM a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with complex product development (electro-mechanical/software) in a regulated industry environment (such as Military/Aerospace/Automotive), DHS experience preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to details
• Self-starter – drive the overall product design
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Person
