IT Deskside Specialist

Ibotta is seeking an IT Deskside Specialist to assist with daily troubleshooting, setups, and a variety of tasks related to our help desk. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses solid technical skills, and is dedicated to providing a high level of customer service.


  • Provide technical assistance for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
  • Onboard new hires, including unpacking and setup of monitors and monitor arms and basic imaging of computers
  • Act as backup for and be cross-trained on all functions with IT Specialist
  • Manage re-imaging of failed computers
  • Assist with management and enforcement of security procedures and policies
  • Test current and possible software and web platforms
  • Produce reporting for audits
  • Assist in maintaining Ibotta’s IT infrastructure
  • Escalate service requests that require Systems Engineer level support
  • Provide end user training as necessary meetings or user documentation
  • Assist in mantaining end user FAQ/documentation portal
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Three years of progressive information technology experience
  • Two years of higher education study in Information Technology, Management Information Systems or a related field
  • Available during non-business hours to resolve system issues as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing needs and requirements
  • Must be detail-oriented and be an organized thinker who is service-minded with strong communication & customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations
  • Knowledge of Mac OSX
  • Knowledge of Windows 10
  • Knowledge of iOS and Android
  • Knowledge of Google Apps for Business
  • Ability to troubleshoot common hardware/software issues
  • Ability to lift 50lbs as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CompTIA Certification (A+, Network +, Security+)
  • Knowledge in Checkpoint and AdTran
  • Any of the following Apple certifications: Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) certification, Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC) certification, Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT) certification
