Watson Health - Product Marketing Manager - Provider Solutions

Job Description

The Marketing Manager of Provider Solutions is responsible for telling the story of products and services to the provider market. This position is tasked with strategically marketing solutions and services and is involved in defining the strategy of the overall marketing go to market plan, including developing and implementing demand generation campaign plans for the assigned portfolio. The marketing manager will also be charged with integrating the IBM Watson Health story, showcasing differentiated offerings, promoting thought leadership and client relationship events, and developing lead generation programs with a focus on sales revenue goals and marketing responsiveness metrics. The marketing manager will identify strategic industry conferences and events, develop plans to support our attendance and manage an ongoing communications plan and resources needed to achieve goals and objectives, including ROI.
The marketing manager will be actively involved in the strategic direction of the business and will contribute to sales and revenue growth. The position reports to the head of product marketing.

Management and Execution:

  • Work with sales and product management, and marketing leadership, to understand market goals and priorities and translate them into focused marketing objectives.
  • Translate product and service capabilities into clear, compelling marketing messages.
  • Manage campaign budgets for assigned portfolio.
  • Develop and oversee execution of the annual campaign plans for assigned portfolio, including defining objectives, marketing mix and promotional channels; resource management; and strategies for marketing integrated programs to healthcare providers.
  • Grasp key market trends and competitor information for provider market; keep abreast of emerging marketing approaches and best practices to develop an effective plan and continually improving marketing programs.
  • Manage key client and internal communication specific to healthcare industry stakeholders.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • B.A./B.S. required, marketing focus preferred.
  • 7-8 years' experience in marketing and communications, with prior experience with in healthcare or software
  • Proven success in marketing of technology products and/or services; candidates with experience marketing to healthcare providers or relevant healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in building innovative, proactive, high impact marketing campaigns using all relevant channels and media; and aligning marketing strategy with business goals.
  • Should have strong fundamental lead generation execution and measurement experience for improvement analysis.
  • Experience analyzing market/industry data including competitive intelligence to support new offering introductions and the development of marketing campaigns a plus.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.


Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • B.A./B.S. required, marketing focus preferred.
  • 7-8 years' experience in marketing and communications, with prior experience with in healthcare or software
  • Proven success in marketing of technology products and/or services; candidates with experience marketing to healthcare providers or relevant healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in building innovative, proactive, high impact marketing campaigns using all relevant channels and media; and aligning marketing strategy with business goals.
