Technical Seller, IBM Services for Managed Applications

Job Description
IBM Services for Managed Applications is responsible for Managed Cloud sales with a specific focus on Enterprise applications (SAP, Oracle and Commerce). As Technical Seller you will be responsible for identifying, positioning and solutioning IBM Cloud for SAP (IC4SAP) as the IBM Cloud solution of choice for customers running SAP applications.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the go-to expert on IC4SAP solutions for the UKI sales team
  • Work both tactically and strategically with both existing clients and new business opportunities
  • Deliver the IBM Services for Managed Applications strategy presentation to clients
  • Position the benefits of IBM Services for Managed Applications as the platform of choice
  • Engage clients in dialogues related to infrastructure growth, including their planned and potential needs
  • Provide documentation for options/ strategies especially in regard to RFI and RFP responses
  • Collaborate with clients and develop the right solution, with cloud first mindset, to fit their needs


Required Professional and Technical Expertise :
  • Ability to rapidly learn and understand new technologies
  • Solid understanding of cloud and the business objectives for enterprise IT
  • Solid understanding in and experience with SAP applications
  • Understanding of where clients are coming from and what their needs are - often Legacy or Hybrid environments
  • Practiced at clearly communicating your ideas verbally and in writing
  • Skilled working in fast-paced selling environments with direct customer interaction and a range of customer types
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Tenacity and creativity when presented with difficult challenges
  • Preferably experience in technical pre-sales
  • A basic knowledge of core IBM offerings, specifically those that are Cloud related, is expected.

  • This role is on a team based quota sales plan.
