IBM Software Group Professional Services - Technical Consultant - Hybrid Cloud Team

Location preference is Canberra, however will consider applications from Sydney and Melbourne.

Job Description
IBM Australia, Software Group Services, is seeking an Early Professional Hire with 1 to 2 years IT industry experience to fill a role as a Technical Consultant.

The successful candidate will leverage IBM tools, technologies and frameworks to provide development activity for implementation of IBM API Connect and Datapower products.

The preferable location is Canberra, but in exceptional circumstances we would consider Sydney or Melbourne based individuals with the right skills fit, with the understanding the successful candidate will be required to travel to deliver work on-site with our Canberra clients.

Responsibilities
This position is to join our advantageous NZ Software Services organization as a new consultant to support our senior consultants with API Connect and Datapower projects. The position has the following responsibilities:

  • Install and configure software
  • Developer activity
  • Documentation for set up and development outcomes
  • Support our senior consultants with the resolution of technical and configuration issues


Requirements
  • IT Degree
  • Australian Citizen essential
  • Ideally you will possess knowledge of IBM suite of integration products such as API Connect, DataPower, Operational Decision Manager, IBM Integration Bus (IIB) & IBM MQ would be advantageous
  • Knowledge in programming with Java and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge in protocols standards (e.g. Web Services, REST, JMS, MQ, JDBC) and message format (e.g. XML, JSON, CSV)
  • Knowledge of Cloud Native technologies would be advantageous.

Some travel required: up to 25% or 2 days per week.
