Systems Administrator UNIX Operating Systems LINUX - Junior
System Administrators are the gatekeepers to the many systems that run our company and our clients. As a System Admin with IBM, you will have the opportunity to provide high-value IT services and leverage our leading-edge technology portfolio in our global network. Your Role and Responsibilities
This role is performed by technical professionals who specialize in providing perform services to clients on hardware and software components. Activities include operation and maintenance of operating systems across multiple platforms, middleware applications, various database technologies, high availability solutions and load balancing. Job responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following: operation and maintenance of operating systems and platform support, database administration, capacity planning, performance management, security compliance. Support is also provided for systems management tools which monitor the operational status of the environment.
Thorough applied technical knowledge of the fundamental concepts and technologies associated with LINUX Operating Systems (Hardware, Software). Capable of performing installation, implementation, customization, operation, recovery and performance tuning.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- English - Intermediate / Advanced
- Experience with specialized support for LINUX / UNIX servers - Redhat;
- Knowledge in Operating Systems LINUX, UNIX, RedHat;
- Concepts in computer network (TCP / IP, Switch, Router, Firewall, VPN);
- Virtualization concepts;
- Understanding computer hardware architectures (SCSI, RAID, HBA);
- Knowledge in Kernel compilation;
- Knowledge in package installation;
- Knowledge in Shell Script;
- Knowledge of operating system administration commands;
- Knowledge in text editors (vi / vim / emacs / mcedit);
- Knowledge in administration of filesystems;
- Clustered knowledge and high availability environments;
- Knowledge in task scheduling (cron, at);
- Knowledge in configuration and use of disks in Storage;
- Ability to write functional scripts in administrative language;
- OpenShift Concept
- Cloud concept
- Concept Dockers, Container, Kubernetes
- ITIL training;
