Software Test Specialist

Job Description
IBM is seeking a junior software test engineer who contributes significantly to the creation of test cases, test implementation and defect resolution of IBM payments software products. The candidate may require working directly with customers and support teams to resolve customer issues.

Reporting to the QA Manager and working with a team of global test engineers, the test engineer will be responsible for definition, creation, maintenance and execution of test plans, test cases, test scripts and associated data. Additionally, you would be required to work closely with development teams on resolution of issues.

Responsibilities:
Review Requirement documentation and technical specifications.
Test definition and design.
Test and validate proper software behaviour.
Defect reporting, working with development team on resolution of issues.
Frequently interface with team members and other programming teams.
Act as a consultant on technical issues.

Requirements:
Excellent oral and written communication, teamwork, and debugging skills.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
Self-Starter who is a very quick learner of technology, be able to multi-task, and see clarity in complex situation.
Works well in a global team environment but is also able to work independently.
Genuine, demonstrable interest in software quality.
