Software Developer Co-op - Summer/Fall 2018 (undergraduate)
The Information Server team with IBM's Hybrid Cloud business unit in San Jose, CA is looking for a Software Developer Co-op for to contribute to the on-going success of our industry leading product. This role will develop and/or test code for our Unified Govenance products, participate in a squad, follow Agile principles, and work as part of a team to meet deadlines and satisfy customer requirements. Bug fixing and testing is expected. You will work with a team of subject matter experts and other developers, including UX Design, development teams in the United States and Poland, and Quality Assurance (QA) Engineers, to build skills, experience, and the next evolution of our Unified Governance software. If you are currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with experience with UI development and are interested in being part of a fast paced, agile team, we want to talk to you.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience with programming languages such as React, Angular, Java, Java EE, Java Script
- Experience with DevOps type environments including gradle and Jenkins.
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
- Experience using Git as source code control is a plus
- Participation in agile development and group projects also a plus
