ServiceNow Developer

Job Description

IBM Cloud has a global network that is deployed using cutting-edge platforms and we are looking for high quality, driven ServiceNow Engineers to join the Network team. This area of Engineering is responsible for the technical design, service implementation and network support of one of the world's largest and most complex networks. This position is full-time and we are hiring engineers in Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support ongoing business needs; development or enhancement to existing modules in ServiceNow platform
  • Primarily responsible for issue resolution related to ServiceNow
  • Review ServiceNow practices and recommend improvements
  • Performance tuning, monitoring, and testing within ServiceNow
  • Participation in the full software development life cycle: Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing and promotion into Production
  • Requirements gathering, Analysis and document the process for implementation
  • Provide consulting on ServiceNow implementation
  • Design and develop Enterprise Service Management solutions using ServiceNow
  • Configuration / customization of ServiceNow, including creating workflows
  • Performs integrations and process automation
  • Performs system and integration testing with sample and live data
  • External application development using in-built services
  • Lead development and implementation of ServiceNow solutions
  • Capable of working well under pressure and multitasking
  • Detail-oriented, with a careful nature
  • Able to work well in a team setting; able to work well independently
  • Excellent analytical and logical thinking skills

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Excellent ServiceNow development and admin skills
  • ServiceNow development and admin.skills.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Foundations, Configuration / customization of ServiceNow, including creating workflows


Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Basic Visio skills
  • Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow components such as Service Catalog, Change/Incident/Problem Management, Asset Management, CMDB
  • Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow Best Practices and ongoing knowledge of latest ServiceNow features
  • Knowledge of ITIL Foundations
