We have an opportunity for a Senior Developer to join our IBM Cúram Social Program Management (SPM) Product Development team at IBM's 100 acre Technology Campus in Dublin 15.   • BSc, MSc or PhD in a technical discipline with 10+ years of experience.
  • Experience working with Agile software development teams.
  • A strong interest in lean design\development and application usability.
  • Ability to translate and document complex technical terminology, concepts and issues in terms understandable to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at a given time.
  • Excellent Communication, written and oral skills
  • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and object-oriented analysis and design.
  • Desire to help grow the technical skills of fellow team members.
  • Demonstrable ability to provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques.
  • Evidence of performing technical root cause analysis and ability to outline corrective action for given problems.
  • Ability to report status, identify issues/ risks proactively, and provide alternative plans for recovery.
  • Communicate effectively in a team oriented environment.
  • Mentoring of junior team members.
  • Help to define development standards for teams.
  • Knowledge of architecting, designing, developing and testing with Java/Web technologies.
  • Java, J2EE, Websphere, XML, SQL, DB2, understanding and experience of all necessary.
  • UX, Web Design System, REST, JavaScript understanding or experience a positive.
  • Experience in commercial development in Java and experience with Java/Eclipse development environments.
  • Experience in Web 2.0 Technologies a positive: Dojo, AJAX, Javascript.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English is a must.
