Senior Full Stack Developer – AI & Cloud

Job Description
Software Development Lead - AI & Cloud IBM Talent Acquisition is undergoing a huge transformation and we are looking for a Software Development Lead - AI & Cloud to join our CIO team to deliver on the Talent Acquisition vision. Do you dream about artificial intelligence and machine learning? Do you want to set the new standard for deploying state of the art machine learning systems on Cloud (specifically IBM Cloud)? As the Talent Acquisition/ Management Software Development Lead for AI and Cloud, you will work with various product development teams through all aspects of the development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, and testing using appropriate methodologies and tools. You will set a high standard for service reliability, performance and scale. While you will create, define, and deploy software quality assurance standards and road map, you will also manage the day-to-day operations to ensure on-time quality deliverables. You enjoy solving the toughest challenges and roadblocks together with the other designers, developers, and researchers, but you can also take responsibility independently. You work well under pressure and are able to keep deadlines in a changing working environment. You are an advocate of agile and lean development, quick feedback loops, and lots of iterations.


  • Gather requirements with the core team and closely work with the Cloud Architect to define high-level architecture
  • Actively participate in building out product roadmap
  • Lead the design and deploy testing automation frameworks from the ground-up
  • Define and enforce development and quality standards and practices: code review, unit testing, integrations, etc
  • Contribute with the team hands-on: writing, reviewing and testing code
  • Provide technical guidance and advisement on various technology dimensions of cloud adoption including security, network, database and infrastructure
  • Oversee team structure and optimizing day to day team operations
Technologies we use:
IBM Cloud, Docker, Spring, Redis, Eureka, Hadoop & NOSQL, Kafka, ELK, Mybatis, OOS API, Python, Node JS, Angular, JavaScript, ZipKin, Jenkins, Zuul, OAuth2 but bring your ideas!
  • Experience leading quality effort for cloud software applications and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability
  • Experience leading quality effort for TA's software's architecture and databases
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of Talent Acquisition, its tools, techniques and processes
  • Demonstrated experience testing software that uses some or all of the following technologies: Java; Android / iOS; C# and/or C++
  • Experience with design and coding skills in Java/C++, HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • Experience with modern front end technologies like React S, AngularJS, etc
  • Hands on practice with Testing Driven Development (TDD)
  • Experience supporting machine learning applications
  • Independent thinking and desire to learn new techniques/technologies
  • Undergraduate degree or higher in computer science or equivalent

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 7+ years of experience working across the stack, including areas of Frontend, Backend, Database, Cloud services, DevOps, etc
  • 5 years of development experience in an agile, fast-paced environment
  • 5 years of software development lifecycle management
  • 3 years of experience, teaching, leading and mentoring more junior developers

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Technical paper publications and conference engagements
  • Experience developing applications for multiple mobile platforms (e.g. Android, iOS), internet-related cloud technologies, and HR industries, etc
  • Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms and software design with strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Good understanding of private and public cloud design considerations and limitations in the areas of virtualization and global infrastructure, distributed systems, load balancing and networking, massive data storage, Hadoop, MapReduce, and security
