Who You are: -
  • You will play a lead role in defining the service scope for IBM Managed Network Delivery and delivering remote management services for Cisco/Checkpoint Network Devices, Firewalls, VPN's & VOIP Devices as part of IBM Network Delivery Team.
  • Will act as the focal point for handling technical escalations and will assist the Technical/Delivery Manager in maintaining SLA adherence and meet CSAT goals.
  • Implementation and administration of Local & Wide Area Networks (VLANs, VPNs) and Network Products - Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Voice Gateways, Unified Communication Devices; proven knowledge of static/dynamic routing protocols, transports (Internet/MPLS/VPLS) is expected.
  • Should perform requirements gathering & design
What you'll do :
  • Configure, administer, and document firewall infrastructure, working with Cisco ASA/Checkpoint.
  • Maintain High Availability and Clustered firewall environments for customers using Check Point High Availability.
  • Managing Check Point Smart Console Dashboard.
  • Proven Knowledge on IPS Software blades and others.
  • IDS/ IPS Threat Monitoring and Tuning on Smart Console
  • Knowledge of network protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, VLAN, TCP/IP, etc.).
  • Manage corporate Checkpoint Firewall implementing security rules and mitigating network attacks.
  • Firewall troubleshooting and maintain issues. Responsible for resolving the issues from company and/or vendor documented resolutions.
  • Log analysis and correlation of Monthly reports.
  • Creating Signatures and Traps to analyze traffic pattern.
  • Should be familiar with Checkpoint models, capabilities, and architectures
  • Supply data on resolvable firewall issues to the vendor Technical Assistance Centers (TAC) and, with assistance from the vendor technicians, advance towards full resolution of the issues and documentation of the process.
  • Provide Support for VPN client Infrastructure.
  • Policy/ Signature Reinforcement based on the requirement and alert trend.
  • Provide administration for global, regional and local DNS & DHCP servers via QIP.
  • Provide ongoing administration and support for authentication service using RSA SecureID and Cisco RADIUS servers for internet-based remote access VPN solution
  • Use Peregrine Service Center to track device inventory, provide support for client, vendor and generate SLA reporting.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Implementation and administration of Local & Wide Area Networks (VLANs, VPNs) and Network Products - Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Voice Gateways, Unified Communication Devices; proven knowledge of static/dynamic routing protocols, transports (Internet/MPLS/VPLS) is expected.
  • Provide ongoing administration and support for authentication service using RSA SecureID and Cisco RADIUS servers for internet-based remote access VPN solution
  • Additional knowledge and understanding of one or more of the following concepts and technologies is a plus: SIEM, Proxies, Content Filtering, Vulnerability Scanning, Email and Web Security.


Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • 4+yrs of experience in Checkpoint Firewall.
  • Supply data on resolvable firewall issues to the vendor Technical Assistance Centres (TAC) and, with assistance from the vendor technicians, advance towards full resolution of the issues and documentation of the process.
  • Support VPN client Infrastructure.
  • Policy/ Signature Reinforcement based on the requirement and alert trend.
