Your Role and Responsibilities

The global cost of cyber-crime is expected to reach over 2 trillion dollars by 2019. At IBM Security, our

The current skills gap in cyber security means we need to deliver powerful yet easy to use interfaces so

that our clients can make the most of their resources to monitor and protect their networks. You will be

part of a team that drive the design and implementation of innovative product features in the cyber

security space. To achieve this, we are seeking a talented front-end developer who will help build and

deliver these new experiences through combining great design and performant code that makes a

complex product feel fast, simple and intuitive.

As a front-end developer, you'll be part of a passionate team building new, powerful applications for IBM

Security. Our team is comprised of user experience designers, visual designers, front-end developers, and design researchers. We are looking for an experienced and passionate front-end developer who can bridge

design and engineering to create websites and applications that meet and exceed our users' needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with designers, developers and product managers to create brilliant interfaces from concept to delivered solution.
  • Manage your own time and work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Evaluate the technical feasibility of planned features and UI/UX designs
  • Optimize front-end code for speed and scalability
  • Build and maintain code from core set of sharable components all the way up to a full application
  • Lead and Participate in skills sharing and building

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
English Fluent (verbal and written)
  • English Fluent (verbal and written)
  • Min 3-5 years of experience as a front-end developer
  • Min 3- 5 years experience with modern development tools such as HTML5,
  • CSS3, ReactJS, Angular, Sass
  • Experience with Restful web services

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • ReactJS, NextJS, Storybook
  • Knowledge of Webpack
  • Responsive Web Development
  • Experience with web accessibility (W3C WAI) standards
  • Experience with globalization
  • Experience writing unit tests and other UI automated tests with various test frameworks
  • Knowledge of Git
  • Knowledge of atomic design principles
  • Experience with agile methodologies
