Your Role and Responsibilities
The Data Centric Systems (DCS) department at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center is seeking Research Scientists for research and development of future High Performance Computing (HPC) and High Performance Analytics (HPA) systems and applications, and novel processor architectures and systems.
The DCS department works collaboratively with many leading HPC organizations around the world to carry out research and development of exascale and specialized systems for research, industrial, and commercial use. Responsibilities will include research and development in design and optimization of HPC/HPA and visualization algorithms, applications, and workflows, projection of performance on new system architectures, development of system software including system and resource management and runtime for messaging, collaboration in the design of processors, networks, and storage systems for optimal system performance, emerging applications such as distributed intelligence in datacenters and embedded systems.
Required Professional and Technical Expertise
- At least 1 year experience in HPC
- At least 1 year experience in HPC applications
- At least 1 year experience in HPC architectures
- At least 1 year experience in parallel programming
- At least 1 year experience in processor architecture
- At least 1 year experience in hardware design
- English: Fluent
