What you'll do

Interoperability between Private and Public Blockchains

Project Description

In many blockchain use cases, the asset lifecycle typically spans both a private network and a public network. Complex negotiations and agreements in a private network may create an asset, for instance, a mortgage, bond, ticket for an event, gold bullion and other commodities. Once the asset is created, the asset may be freely traded in an open public market. Such systems in today's (non-blockchain) world have several operational and regulatory challenges, with suboptimal experiences for the participants including lack of visibility, discrepancies, paper trail and manual work, high cost of intermediaries, and susceptibility to fraud. For designing a blockchain-based solution, the need for interoperability between a private chain and a public chain poses several interesting challenges. The goal of this project is to build a system that can address these challenges
