Job Description
IBM is seeking a highly self-motivated individual to work as a device characterization engineer in the Quantum Computing group. The position involves working with a team of other engineers and research staff on characterization and development of experiments in superconducting quantum technologies. The ideal candidate will have a background with quantum characterization and cryogenics as well as excellent organizational skills. Candidate is expected to work on developing control and analysis tools to enable automated test of quantum experiments; design data visualization packages and device drivers for multi-stage bring-up of quantum processor devices

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 2 years of research experience in a quantum computing or low temperature physics experimental laboratory environment
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
- Programming experience with Python
- Experience with microwave electronics
