Project Manager

Job Description
To support the Qatar Innovation Hub, the IBM Project Manager will be the focal point for any communication with IBM relative to this project and will be the first point of contact for the client Project Manager. The designated IBM Project manager will manage IBM's personnel and responsibilities for this project;
Serve as the interface between IBM and the client Project Manager for all dependencies required to run the IBM Cloud Garage activities planned under the client's innovation initiative;
Administer the Change Control Procedure with the client's designated Project Manager;
Participate in relevant project status meetings; in addition to the monthly steering committee meetings;
Escalate as appropriate within the client organization any deviations from the estimated schedule, , early enough to ensure smooth resolution
Develop guidelines and procedures on how the Innovation Hub elements will work together, how individual elements are conducted, and how perspective the client participants will be able to leverage the Innovation Hub.
Review with the client Project Manager any of the invoice or billing requirements.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Overall 18+ years of professional experience with 8-10 years focused on project management.
Very senior project management skills, along with strong awareness of the IBM leading edge technologies, specifically Cloud and Cognitive solutions. This is in addition to the ability to manage very large scale projects, deliver within the context of Garages, and support the client with the the Cloud Adoption and Transformation journey.

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

Overall 18+ years of professional experience with 8-10 years focused on project management.
Very senior project management skills, along with strong awareness of the IBM leading edge technologies, specifically Cloud and Cognitive solutions. This is in addition to the ability to manage very large scale projects, deliver within the context of Garages, and support the client with the the Cloud Adoption and Transformation journey.
