Your Role and Responsibilities
CIO Leader for the procurement applications at global level. Accountable for ensuring business continuity and running the procurement systems platforms securely and reliably. Transformation leader capable of setting strategy for the IBM procurement IT space. Experienced people manager, able to lead large (300+ FTE) global teams and to value, nurture and grow diverse talent. Solid IT expertise and familiarity with agile, DevSecOps and best UX/UIX practices. Proven track record in delivering complex process and IT transformation projects. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Background in procurement and/or previous experience with procurement systems is a plus.
Effective negotiation, teaming and interpersonal skills that translate into positive working relationships with key business owners to ensure successful transformation initiatives for IBM.
Proven experience in leading engineering teams from discovery through design, development, test and deployment of software solutions on multiple platforms (cloud, on prem, hybrid). Expertise on how to migrate critical workloads from legacy platforms on the cloud while keeping business continuity. Programming experience is a plus.
Expertise on selection and adoption of best of market Source to Pay and Procurement solutions (e.g. SAP Ariba, Coupa, BuyerQuest, Amazon for Business, ...). Demonstrated results in effective deployment of Procurement SaaS solutions globally with measurable positive impact on both end user experience and ROI.
Engaged as a professional who guides others and drives negotiation, analysis and acceptance of a culture of continuous transformation and improvement within the area of responsibility. Understands technology trends, what best looks like in the IT industry. Uses this information to decide when and what changes are required to the managed application portfolio.
Works with team members to articulate, compare alternative approaches and implement solutions based upon agile principles and end user impact. Team members might include IBM staff, business partners and suppliers.
Global knowledge sharing and management is key to IBM's success. The candidate will participate and actively contribute in knowledge sharing activities like communities of practice, forums, conferences and other knowledge exchanges.
Inspire and lead effectively team members to define the team's objectives, key results and schedules.
Clearly communicates team results, issues and resolution options to appropriate management and stakeholders.
Has experience to manage large operational and investment budgets, able to identify efficiency opportunities, timely manage and resolve any financial gap.
Risk management skills and awareness of key security and regulatory policies for financially significant applications are also required for this leadership position.

- 5+ years of managing global IT teams, with SAP technology
- Knowledge of source to pay/procurement processes
- Proven experience in leading software development teams
- Expertise with best in market Procurement SaaS solutions (e.g. SAP Ariba, Coupa, BuyerQuest, Amazon for business, ...)

- Knowledge of DesignOps, DevOps tools and practices
- Software development/coding language expertise
- Certifications on technical platforms (e.g. Red Hat, SAP, Microsoft, AWS, ...) and new ways of working (e.g. Agile, OKRs, Design Thinking, ...)
