Java Developer / Workday Integration Consultant


Your Role and Responsibilities

Workday@IBM is IBM's transformation program that consolidates HR and Payroll processes globally. This is a multi-year program aimed at replacing legacy processes and systems across IBM. As part of COE, we are looking to expand in EMEA for development in Java language, for Workday and related new projects.

As Integration Consultant :

  • Development of new tools in IBM Cloud (Bluemix), as part of HR projects framework
  • Build automated solutions and interfaces (preferably in IBM Cloud) that support HR and Payroll function
  • Development, maintenance, testing, deployment of new functions in Workday
  • Implement Devops practices
  • Work independently with stakeholders in a multidisciplinary team to define requirements and develop the solution
  • Participate and/or lead specific integrations, write Technical Design/ Specifications
  • ​ Independently engage with third party vendors, as needed

Required Professional and Technical Expertise


  • Confident English language skills

  • Bachelors or master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or any related technical field

  • Confident in Java and web developer technologies (XML, XSLT, HTML5, Javascript, CSS)

  • JQuery, REST, JSON

  • Agile software development experience


  • Sound understanding of one or more functional modules in Workday: EIB, Core Connectors, PICOF/PECI, Studio

  • Experience in designing and developing complex reports using BIRT

  • Certifications in Integration Core, CCTPP and Studio

  • Proactive and flexible attitude, openness, self-development

  • Team spirit, adaptable skills, decision-making ability
