Internship/Praktikum: Develop IBM storage kubernetes provisioner


Your Role and Responsibilities
Design and implement kubernetes dynamic storage provisioner for IBM block storage

In our department we are responsible for porting different SAP software to the IBM servers. During this exercise you will get in touch with emerging software solutions like Docker and kubernetes. The exercise is to realize a kubernetes dynamic storage provisioner for IBM block storage on IBM Power Linux environment.

You will learn how to:

  • Develop software for kubernetes
  • Handle block storage using Cinder / Nova OpenStack drivers or terraform via IBM PowerVC
  • Make block storage available on OS level for applications (on kubernetes nodes)
  • Develop kubernetes dynamic storage provisioner
The solution should be preferably written in Go (like other storage provisioners of kubernetes incubator project) and should be released as open source on the github (preferably within kubernetes incubator project).
