IBM Z Influencer Ecosystem: Developer Program Coordinator

Job Description
As a Worldwide IBM Z Developer Program Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to be closely involved with the global developer ecosystem and accelerate the growth of a thriving global community within IBM. In this role, you will be instrumental in the launch, coordination and execution of developer programs, activities and events for IBM Z and LinuxONE, and promoting IBM's positioning and hardware and solutions benefits.

As the WW IBM Z Developer Program Coordinator, you will work closely with the Influencer Ecosystem Developer Advocate team to drive the launch, execution and scale of developer community programs and events across geographies, including Hackathons, Challenges, workshops, Meetups, etc. In addition, you will:
• Execute worldwide developer program activities and tactics that drive adoption through digital channels, field events and enablement vehicles
• Track, consolidate and produce regular reporting on developer program metrics and performance, including program status dashboards and stakeholder feedback
• Communicate successes and learnings from the Z developer programs, including overall community participation and downstream impact on our business; work with the team's Developer Advocates and Content Developer to generate program success stories and case studies for promotion
• Maintain calendar of Z community global programs, events and activities; identify gaps and opportunities, and solicit ongoing program feedback from developers and team members to recommend and drive process improvement, standardization, and scale of best practice programs and activities in geos
• Work with team's Content Developer and marketing to create and/or leverage promotional assets, collateral and communications to support programs
• Work with team to contribute to program development, content and execution at the WW and regional level
• Drive programs to expand knowledge and build recognition of the IBM Z brand to foster positive developer perception and adoption
• Coordinate and drive awareness of the programs and events of IBM Z Developer Advocates, IBM broadly and within the developer community to ensure integration, proper messaging and promotion. Help to coordinate and support the tactical execution requirements of complementary IBM and external events and programs
• Regularly communicate with the marketing and offering management organizations to make the Z community an extension of their teams by contributing program updates, content, success stories, references and upcoming events
• Actively coordinate the digital presence of developer programs on community and advocacy hubs

Position will be based in one of the following United States locations: San Jose, CA; Poughkeepsie, NY; Raleigh, NC; Austin, TX; Dallas, TX


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

5+ years experience organizing and executing technical or developer programs and events
Strong project management skills; ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple program and event requirements
Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and requirements
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Experience tracking and reporting program, event and/or project metrics
Strong understanding of the technical developer community including in-person and online groups. You understand how and why developers make choices about the technologies they use
Ability to execute innovative program approaches across new and traditional media channels to expand developer engagement; adept at leveraging social media tactics to extend program and event awareness and reach

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

Experience working with IBM Z and Linux on IBM Z
Self-motivated and passionate about helping others and interacting with the wider developer community
Ability to work with cross-functional team members
Ability to travel up to 25%
Knowledge of web server and API management tools and IBM Cloud
Understanding of emerging technologies and the latest digital trends
Knowledge of web development tools such as Wordpress
