Graduate Software Developer .
What does the role involve?
Our software engineers/developers are responsible for the complete life cycle of a software product - from research and design, to implementation and testing, through training and support.
As a software engineer/developer you will work at the heart of IBM's software innovation and you could play a key role in many world-shaping, cutting-edge technologies.
You'll be encouraged to have contact with IBM sales teams and customers, both in the Lab as well as on customer sites, to understand the needs of our clients as well as assisting IBM's post sales teams - all of which will contribute to your own development as an engineer.
What we look for:
You'll have either obtained or be predicted a 2:1 or above in your degree
Whilst you don't need a specific degree background to apply, you do need to be enthusiastic, with plenty of energy and passion for software development
Be authorised to work in the UK
You will be required to attend an assessment once you have completed and passed the online assessment and video interview, these will be run at IBM Hursley on the following dates : (please ensure you are able to attend these dates)
16th October 2018
6th November 2018
20th November 2018
15th January 2019
5th February 2019
Location of roles.
Most of our roles are based in IBM Hursley, near Winchester, the largest software lab in Europe. We do have 1-2 roles in our other software labs in Bristol, Southbank, Manchester, Cambridge and Milton Keynes but the majority of our roles will be based in Hursley
Start dates for the Graduates is 2nd September 2019.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Be looking to achieve (or already have) a 2:1 honours - in any degree
