Executive Consultant - Cognitive and AI Consulting

Job Description
An Executive Consultant assigned to this position is expected to have the proven experience and knowledge in the area of Large Scale Program Delivery needed to ensure the successful delivery of consulting services to an internal or external client, leading to high client satisfaction. This requires the capability to oversee the largest and most complex services engagements in their area of expertise and to demonstrate an expert understanding of the appropriate methods and skills to be used. They are expected to contribute to the growth of intellectual capital within their practice area and to support the development of other consultants through participation in mentoring or coaching activities. They are expected to establish trusted long-term relationships with clients through engagement activities. They must also develop strong and trusted relationships with Project Managers and other team members on complex services engagements.

Leveraging the latest technologies and techniques, specifically in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Analytics, they will be responsible for the translation of the client's business and analytic requirements into future state architectures and solutions, including the business and technical roadmaps required to achieve the target state. They will establish the client Program Delivery Plan and the overall framework to guide the design and implementation of the required Cognitive and Analytics solution.
They will work closely with client personnel to identify challenges and opportunities and then develop value-based solutions, thereby generating real client value in the process.

This position requires the skills needed to test hypotheses and conclusions leading to the development of innovative client deliverables in a manner that supports and reinforces effective teaming within the engagement. They are expected to identify new business opportunities and to provide strong assistance to IBM in the winning of that business. Must be familiar with the contractual requirements for their area of practice and be capable of drafting and reviewing responses to Requests for Information (RFI), responses to Requests for Proposal (RFP), IBM contracts, and IBM statements of work.

This position is required to be client-facing, assigned to client billable engagements more frequently than new business development. When not billing a client, is expected to support bid and proposal activities within their area of practice and participate in related Sector, Solution Area, or Community activities.

Global knowledge sharing and management is key to IBM's success. Individuals will participate in, and/or be responsible for the creation, harvesting, protection and reuse of IBM's intellectual capital in the area of Smarter Infrastructure. They will participate actively in knowledge sharing activities like communities of practice, forums, conferences and/or other knowledge exchanges.
Discharges basic management responsibilities and assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Delivery experience Cognitive and Analytics
• Relevant academic background, preferably with accreditation from a professional association.
• At least 8 years professional experience in industry
• Proven ability to communicate effectively at the executive level
• Demonstrated people management ability to lead and mentor staff of all levels
• Demonstrated business acumen including superior negotiation skills and contract/profit management
• Leadership skills and the ability to multi-task within the workplace
• Able to travel

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

• At least 10 years professional experience in industry. Well versed in oil and gas industry.
