The Enterprise Architect proactively supports the promotion of the IS Enterprise IT strategy, through building trusted and productive executive-level relationships and can deliver integrated and persuasive architectural thought leadership.
The candidate should be a thought leader, who can become the Client Trusted Advisor, through understanding the client's business problems, bridge from the client's key business initiatives to a desirable infrastructure solution and have the ability to explore the underlying opportunities for IBM.
The Enterprise Architect has the responsibility for helping the client understand IT impact on the business and the role of IBM IS Services as an enabler for transformation and change. To enhance the client's perception of IBM's unique value and impact on their business and promote IBM as the preferred infrastructure service partner by providing the technical and business leadership required to integrate IBM capabilities, strategies and core architecture to meet client's business requirements.
Enterprise architect should understand the technology trends from IT infrastructure and managed services point of view, participate in a wide range of architectural activities from requirements analysis for IT systems, data centers, storage, network, resiliency, end user devices, service desk, service level agreements, ITIL processes and managed services; exploratory activities into new environments, architectural solutions, technologies and the use of business partners; leads selection of methodologies, tools and components of total architectural solutions; exhibits strategic vision of functional or unit mission and applies vision in engagements; influences people & organisations, including client and IBM executive management, on issues related to the development of architectural solutions
In addition, the Enterprise Architect will be responsible for proactively engaging and managing the IBM Technical Community in support of the client's objective and provide technical leadership to the IBM team to ensure proposed solutions support the client's business and technical strategy.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Professional IT services
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an IT Architect
- Superior client communications; written/oral/presentations
- Language: English - Fluent
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Certified Technical architect skills eg TOGAF, COBIT, ITIL etc
