Data Security Segment Leader

Job Description
IBM's Security Business Unit is seeking a Data Security Segment Leader
Data Security Segment Leaderr is an integral part of the sales organization and works with the Sales team through the pre-sales cycle carrying out presentation, demo & POC for IBM Security's Portfolio of products. He will also have the responsibility of providing leadership and technical guidance in driving opportunities in the Asia Pacific region.

  • Leadership, training and development of IRP CTPs across Asia Pacific region.
  • Driving the Strategy for Data Security and Accelerators
  • Engaging deployment team to review key deployment milestones like architecture & design, installation & production setup
  • Acts as IRP subject-matter expert to validate how a proposed solution meets and exceeds customer requirements.
  • Supports the regions sales team on prospect conference calls, WebEx and onsite visits by providing product demonstrations; expertly responds to technical questions, and explains features in the context of solving customer's business problems on Security Operations & Response.
  • Leads response to Request for Proposals and Request For Information (RFI) by writing clear responses to commonly asked questions and gathering answers from other internal technical experts
  • Supports partner teams by participating in calls and meetings with prospective customers evaluating solutions


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of in Data Security experience in On Prem or SaaS solutions.
  • Knowledge of database and application platforms will be preferred.
  • Should have competency in data, application and people aspects of cyber security.


Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Experience in Identifying Proper Use Cases in client PoTs
  • Experience in technical solution design / architecture for security solutions, including capacity and throughput planning, and technical and quality assurance processes.
  • Understanding, and being able to articulate to clients, deployment processes and best practices to lower deployment risk and accelerate time to value, and overall client satisfaction and success
  • SOC technology procurement strategies and processes.
  • Cyber incident planning and response.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise security analytics, including threat analysis and modelling, and applications of machine intelligence.
  • Understanding, and being able to articulate to clients, deployment processes and best practices to lower deployment risk and accelerate time to value, and overall client satisfaction and success
