Corporate Strategy Senior Associate/Associate Director

Job Description
The Corporate Strategy Senior Associate / Associate Director is an integral member of the IBM Corporate Strategy team that engages with senior leaders across IBM business units to identify and frame strategic issues, conduct fact based analyses and develop recommendations to achieve meaningful and tangible business impact. The breadth and scope of project work requires that the Strategy Professional work with many areas of the IBM organization including, but not limited to, IBM Business Units, Finance, Sales and Marketing, Transformation and Operations and, Product Development. The Senior Associate / Associate Director uses business and consulting skills to analyze complex strategic issues, formulate hypotheses and test conclusions to determine appropriate strategies.

The Senior Associate / Associate Director should have proven leadership capabilities, an innate client focus, and the ability to develop and analyze business cases.

All qualified applicants should have a desire to learn and excel in a dynamic business environment. Knowledge of the information technology industry and experience / skills in navigating across large organizations in a global environment is required.

Work location is Armonk, NY or New York City dependent on project requirements. Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 6 years' experience in Business Strategy (working with cross-functional teams in developing business strategies)
  • 6 years' experience in the Information Technology Industry
  • 6 years' experience in analytical problem-solving


Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Consulting or advising senior business leaders (either inside and outside company)
  • Experience managing consulting projects
  • Master's Degree in Business / Management
