Your Role and Responsibilities

In your new role, you will work for a Sales Leader that is supported by Solutioning, Pricing and Delivery teams to help you identify and progress business opportunities by building Service solutions that close transactions.

In your first 6 months IBM will invest in your career with exciting and intensive training to enable you to develop the skills that will help you to be successful. Your primary function during this period will be learning IBM and the business you will support while working with an existing sales team to help them identify, validate, qualify and close opportunities up to $10M in total value.

Following a successful talent investment period you will be moved to a commissionable sales plan and empowered with ownership of several accounts across a territories assigned to you.
As a Client Solution Executive (CSE) you will be the lead sales person on a strategic TSS Multivendor (MVS) sales engagement and you will be responsible for the overall sales effort from an end to end point of view, including the sales drive to deliver a 'price to win'. As MVS CSE you are responsible for the development and closing of complex information technology support solutions, which can include the CEO, CFO, CIO, Board of Directors and evaluation committees. You are required to have a strong understanding of the client's business, goals, strategies and industry trends and directions, as well as the ability to have a detailed understanding of our MVS solutions and commercial aspects, with a structured approach. As MVS CSE you are also responsible for leading multi-discipline teams, and integrating products and MVS services required to meet business needs. You may manage multiple MVS opportunities concurrently, although typically in different sales stages, and you have assigned contract signing, revenue, and customer satisfaction targets for the client you support. As MVS CSE you will act as a mentor to less experienced professionals within and outside the profession.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Candidates are expected to demonstrate a proven track record in applying innovative solutions to best support client business processes and signing of large service engagements
  • The passion for services and solving the issues of clients, including the interest on deep and open client relationship
  • Candidates for this position should be passionate about innovation, open-minded and willing to question the traditional ways of how TSS does business
  • Experience in Services Sales and good knowledge and experience for after-sales Services solutions are required
  • This role is in general working cross-industries, but to adopt the value proposition for the client at least basic industry skills are required.
