Citrix Technical Support Specialist

Job Description
The Columbia Customer Innovation Center primarily supports US Strategic outsourcing clients, providing server systems operations, security services, and end user services, including maintenance and monitoring of computer hardware and software systems. IBM's Technical Delivery Services Center is focused on increasing delivery quality and brings together all IBM worldwide service delivery capabilities for Strategic Outsourcing.

This position is located onsite in Columbia, MO, and no remote work is available for these roles. Pager coverage and possible off-shift coverage may be required.

IBM's new Technical Services Delivery Center in Columbia, MO, is seeking a Citrix Administrator who will handle Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop support/troubleshooting /administration and implementations. Incumbent assesses situations to determine problems facing the client. Problems are not routine or standardized and the creation of documentation explaining the solution to the problem is required. Responsible for implementing changes to the client's environment.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Application publishing through Citrix XenApp.
  • Maintain and support Citrix published and streamed applications day-to-day support of Citrix XenApp Server environment.
  • Designing and implementing Citrix policies within Citrix environment.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Citrix XenApp Infrastructure components.
  • Troubleshoot Storefront, Web Interface, XML Broker, Load Balancer, RES, Citrix profile
  • Management and Data store.
  • Use analytical skills in deriving root cause and providing permanent fixes to the problem.
  • Desktop support/troubleshooting /administration and implementations
  • Working with persistent /non-persistent desktops.

Required:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Understanding in Citrix XenApp, Web Interface, Storefront, Delivery Controller and other Citrix Components.
  • Understanding of Citrix NetScaler.
  • Proven understanding of VMware Vsphere.
  • Experience in stabilizing and fine tuning Citrix infrastructure.
  • Proven knowledge in Application Streaming, Appsense and App-v Xen Desktop Citrix Xen
  • Should have extensive knowledge in Citrix printing.
  • Working experience on core Citrix Components (Citrix Studio, Citrix Director, Citrix EdgeSight)
  • English: Fluent

Preferred:
  • Associate's Degree/College Diploma in Information Technology
  • Basic knowledge in Agile for Services methodologies


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • High School Diploma/GED
