Job Description

We see an urgent demand for consultants in our Analytics and Data Management practice since an increasing number of our customers are going through a Cognitive Transformation. We are looking for driven and experienced new colleagues to embrace this opportunity together with us.

As a Business Analytics and Data Management Consultant you will work with one or more of the following areas of expertise; Business Analysis, Information Governance or Cognitive Transformation/Program management (incl agile). You will work closely with our customers on their digital journeys.

It draws together the concept of a Smarter Planet with the capabilities of IBM Research, the business process and modelling capabilities of GBS; Strategy, Experience & Change, Advanced Analytics, Business Intelligence & Performance Management, Information Management Foundation & Big Data as well as the entire Business Analytics and Information Management portfolio of our Software Group: including Watson, SPSS, Cognos, InfoSphere, FileNet, ILOG and Social Analytics.

As an analytics consultant, you will get the opportunity to take on many different project roles related to those domains, e.g Business Analyst, Requirements Specialist, Solution Designer/Developer, industry SME, Project Manager, Information Governance Specialist etc. The consultant role is inherently flexible and will often take part in the full lifecycle of a project, although the role is typically more involved and visible in the beginning compared to the end of a project.

It is expected that the candidate has deep understanding of organizational and business change management in Analytics, Business Intelligence, Big Data and/or Data Warehousing projects. It is also expected that the candidate can manage sales oriented tasks, such as solution outlining, delivering pre-studies as well as estimating and planning full scale projects. Experience from system integration projects based on the leading software products in the business intelligence and analytics area is needed (Infosphere and Cognos is preferred). Experience of different delivery methods, e.g. agile delivery experience, would be advantageous.

This is an environment where networking and people skills are extremely important: we're looking for people who will forge their own relationships at all levels, both internally and externally. Do this and you'll have access to a range of projects and clients unlike any other.

IBM is market leader in the Data & Analytics space. We offer a dynamic, innovative and international environment which is fueled by projects with leading clients, unique capabilities such as IBM Research & Development and IBM Watson, and a growing ecosystem of partnerships such as those with Apple and Twitter.
