Job Description

The Aviation Integration & Customization Services Offering Manager will lead a cross-matrix team responsible for the successful implementation of The Weather Company, an IBM Business (TWC) Aviation Integration & Customization services as measured in achieving project, revenue and margin objectives with a high degree of customer satisfaction. This leader shall have broad understanding of the Commercial Aviation industry, operating environment, flight operations, information technology, and standards. The leader shall have proven experience working closely with clients and teams to understand and define requirements, develop statements of work, and manage the delivery of complex solutions on time and budget. The ideal individual shall be both visionary and pragmatic, and be able to work effectively in a matrixed environment. He or she will define and drive the Aviation Integration & Customization Services growth strategy, ensure execution, and lead a high- performing team to success.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the TWC Aviation products and services and the application to create value for clients

  • Work with clients to understand requirements and design solutions that exceed expectations

  • Maintain fully compliant templates and prepare integration statement of work documents for specific engagements

  • Manage the backlog of integration and other SOW-based customer projects

  • Build project plans, determine Integration and Customization Service fees, and assist in negotiations with customers, supporting Account Managers

  • Oversee the successful delivery of a portfolio of projects including proactively reviewing projects to ensure they are structured for success and meet service level agreements

  • Manage Integration and Customization service engagements globally, including the successful execution of the client implementations and ongoing major account program reviews

  • Define and drive the growth strategies for the professional services that align and fully support strategic growth objectives for the overall TWC Aviation offerings

  • Manage one or more program managers assigned to larger, complex engagements

  • Assist in the preparation of responses to customer RFIs and RFPs

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Broad- based business and technology professional with at least 7 years' of program delivery and management experience, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.

  • High- horsepower, high- energy, visionary leader with a proven entrepreneurial track record of defining and delivering new initiatives.

  • Demonstrable track record of success managing matrix teams in the successful completion of complex projects with relentless operational execution.

  • Extensive experience presenting to and collaborating with senior management both internally and externally.

  • Robust analytical skills and the ability to deliver on detail as well as strategy.

  • Ability to quickly grasp and distinctly explain technology and business concepts.

  • Demonstrated capability in program and project management including experience developing schedules, budgets, plans and milestones.

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Detailed understanding of best practices for Commercial Aviation IT with at least 3 years' of Airline experience

  • Certified Dispatcher or Airline Transport Pilot

  • Direct experience in an IBM services delivery role
