Learn from the best! Apprenticeships at IBM are all about picking up new skills - and lots of them. It's three years' worth of brilliant training, loads of exposure and the kind of experience you simply couldn't get anywhere else. If you've decided to dive straight into the world of work after college (and if you're as fascinated as we are by technology and how it can change business), our Apprenticeship Scheme is one of the best learning experiences out there. We're looking to take on apprentices into Business Specialist roles throughout 2016. You will provide specific and comprehensive operational support to maximise the functionality and effectiveness of the business. Understanding key business priorities, process and organisational implications, you will plan, track, co-ordinate and implement process change, business plans, and financial reporting. You will develop skills in spreadsheet, word processing and presentation systems, which gives an ideal spring board to progress to project management, service delivery, HR and business operations career paths. If there is a particular type of role/part of IBM which appeals to you (such as HR, project management etc.) please be sure to state this on your application.

What we look for:

  • You don't need to be studying business or technology A-levels, but you must have a keen interest in both.
  • You must have achieved at least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above including Maths and English Language (this equates to a grade 5-9 in Maths and English Language from 2017 onwards) and at least 160 UCAS points (if completing A-levels in 2016 or earlier) or 64 UCAS points (in the new system if completing A-levels from 2017 onwards)
  • You will need to be mobile - base locations are across the UK (including but not limited to Greenock (Scotland), Hursley (near Winchester) and Portsmouth), however the work will be project based and typically you'll find yourself working at a client site.
  • You must be authorised to work in the UK.

Please complete the IBM Application Form, CVs in any other format will not be accepted. You will be asked to upload your CV/Resume throughout the application process, this is where you upload the IBM Application Form. A copy of the IBM Application Form can be found on our website.
