Your role and responsibilities
Application Architect, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (Up to 60% telecommuting permitted):
- Implement reference architectures to partners or customers for their technology sets.
- Anticipate customer needs through data gathering.
- Use knowledge of customer context and solution or portfolio expertise to build credibility with customers.
- Improve customer interactions through feedback and observation.
- Plan and deliver proactive and reactive support.
- Work within a larger virtual account team to strengthen customer relationships and work on mobile-first, cloud-first strategies for immediate and long-term service delivery plans.
- Identify and manage goals and opportunities across Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS) to improve customer solution health, performance, and availability.
- Drive and participate in proactive delivery management, spot performance issues, analyze problems, and provide solutions to meet customer needs.
- Work with support, account, and product engineering teams, and other stakeholders to ensure a streamlined customer experience.
- Implement lessons learned for continuous process and delivery improvement for the customer.
- Contribute to on-call rotations to ensure a high quality of service for the critical incidents created by Support for Mission Critical customers.
- Utilize: Microsoft Azure products (Web Apps, Logic App, API Management, Kubernetes/AKS), Visual Studio with .Net, .Net Core and C#, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM applications (CRM), Storage and Database (SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Azure Storage), DevOps tools (Azure DevOps build and release pipelines).
Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Architect or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Microsoft Azure products (Web Apps, Logic App, API Management, Kubernetes/AKS), Visual Studio with .Net, .Net Core and C#, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM applications (CRM), Storage and Database (SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Azure Storage), DevOps tools (Azure DevOps build and release pipelines). $171,660 to $200,000 per year. Full time. D166.
