2nd Shift (Evening) Technical Lead

Job Description
The Markham Customer Solution Center (CSC) provides value added solutions for IBM Clients. The CSC supports customers of varying size and is responsible for product set up and configuration, OEM/IBM parts consolidation, testing and repair.

The Lead Technician role is a focused IT professional with extensive experience in testing, installing, maintaining, setup and updating Intel Server/PC Platforms and both Android and Apple iOS devices. The role includes both IT and administrative tasks and will be supervising and training a team of contract employees to manage customer project schedules to provide final order consolidation, assembly, SW load, configuration settings, final test and packing for shipment to the client. The candidate will be required to have proven organizational and administrative skills, be able to communicate effectively with management and clients, and achieve objectives consistently and in a timely manner.

This role is performed by Technical Leads who specialize in providing technical support and direction to production operators. This role also provides service to clients on hardware and software components. Job responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
Leading a team being responsible to the shift lead.
Being an IT professional with experience in testing,
installing, maintaining and updating Inter Server/PC platforms, Andriod and Apple iOS devices.
integration and configuration services
production system administration and updates
capacity planning
monitoring and reporting production performance and quality compliance.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Technical qualification in PC hardware (A+ certified technician) and knowledge of PC repair
Experience with Android and Apple iOS mobile devices
Knowledge of IBM business systems
Project Management experience
Proven written and verbal communication skills
passionate and hardworking

Someone who takes ownership and is a leader by example.

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

CCNA certified for 5 years
