Senior Laser Product Specialist

We are a 100% employee-owned global manufacturer with an exciting opportunity for a Senior Laser Product Specialist to join our growing Centricut Laser Team. In this role you will play an important part in the laser consumable sales process by collaborating and engaging with laser OEMs, customers, channel partners and Hypertherm Associates around the globe. Key Focus Areas:

Technical Sales Support

  • Identifies and develops new sales opportunities in the field
  • Provides technical support to internal sales teams, channel partners and end-users by telephone, virtually, e-mail, and on-site visits
  • Trains sales force and channel partners on cutting applications at end-user sites and develops/reinforces our Distinctive Value Proposition (DVP)
  • Participates in production/update of sales tools for sales teams and channel partners

New Product Development & Marketing Support

  • Builds strong OEM relationships and co-develops new products based on customer needs
  • Executes and manages product testing in placing new parts with customers for feedback
  • Participates in product development and technical training of new products
  • Manages improvement of tools used in cross-referencing the product line
  • Supports preparation of technical/marketing materials for sales conferences, tradeshows and training for channel partners
  • Helps develop and perform VOCs related to customer and market understanding


  • Seasoned technical service/commercial sales experience with a major CO2 and/or fiber laser manufacturer (i.e. Trumpf, Amada, Mazak etc.)
  • Ability to present DVP to multiple levels within a customer organization
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • B.S. or B.A. in an engineering focus preferred but not required
  • Ability to travel 55-65%- some of which may be international (weekend travel included)
