We are looking for someone passionate about the smallest detail of data but also flexible to step back and view the big picture to join our Waterjet business team as Master Scheduler. This key position is accountable for the systems of supply chain management including product configuration and forecast for all part usage to the Waterjet supply base. Acting as the liaison between engineering and operations you must be comfortable making recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of our operation.

A glimpse of the impact you will have in this role:
Accountable for the systems of supply chain management for the Waterjet business unit. These systems include the accuracy of the product configuration, forecast and forecast accuracy for all part usage to the supply base while making recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.
Responsible for establishing, reviewing and maintaining the master production schedule and supply plan within the Sales and Operations (S&OP) process. This will involve working closely with our Operations Leader, Planner/Buyers, and others to coordinate manufacturing plans that achieve the company objectives relative to customer service, efficient resource/capacity utilization and inventory investment.
Assemble the materials forecast for the business unit by working with marketing and operations through the Sales & Operations Planning Process. Also respond to inquiries about the forecast to determine when a manual forecast needs to be entered, and manage forecast flags/statistical forecasting.
Maintain a portion of the Oracle data for both supplied and make parts. This includes updating cumulative lead times on Make Items, managing attributes (e.g. phantom to SA) and Managing/Updating ATP Rules.
Lead/facilitate the business unit in establishing production capabilities for New Product Development. Duties include entering forecasts on new products while ramping down old, managing new item setup, providing procurement with BOMs and component updates, running forecast simulation for procurement.
Lead/facilitate the business unit to ensure that ECO Implementation is taking place by breaking the ECO apart into steps and working with all involved.
Lead/facilitate the business unit for physical inventory and cycle counting program administration and execution.
Demonstrate leadership qualities to exercise influence both throughout the organization and with external parties. This position may include direct leadership of other supply chain team members.
Drive in/outsource decision-making by working with operations, engineering and procurement, plan and implement sourcing decisions for new product introductions to ensure that Hypertherm can be as flexible as possible in responding to customer requirements.
Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and have experience in operations, purchasing and supplier management with the following:
- Advanced knowledge of Materials Replenishment and Purchasing Modules of ERP
- Knowledge of and experience with Engineering Changes Processes
- Knowledge of and experience with Parts and Inventory Management
- Strong written and verbal presentation and communications
- Strong Negotiations Skills
- Green Belt Certified
- Knowledge of industrial equipment manufacturing
- Knowledge of Lean/JIT production
- Proficient in Microsoft Access or other database query tools
- Knowledge of Oracle ERP systems
- Certified Purchasing Manager or APICS CPIM
