Responsibilities

The Senior Security Architect determines security architecture requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements. The Senior Security Architect work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Security Architect plans security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; developing security requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices; designs public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software; adhering to industry standards. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Our Department of Defense Contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

10-30% Prepare for and Participate in Yearly Security Audit and Attestation for DHA

  • Perform assignments related to the annual DHA security audit assigned by audit team leader
  • Ensure that assigned areas of responsibility meet or exceed all security requirements measured in the DHA audit
  • Ensure that all activities performed meet established audit guidelines
  • Provide required security related documentation as directed


10-60% System Security and Requirements
  • Ensure that systems meet Humana and DHA security requirements
  • Evaluate network and security technologies
  • Virtual private networks (VPNs)
  • Routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices
  • Design public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software


10-60% Application Security and Requirements
  • Code reviews and scans - help develop and maintain policies, configure scans using third party tools, ensure compliance
  • Ensure PCI compliance by designing necessary security architecture and ensuring proper policies/procedures are in place
  • Design and maintain security architecture for APIs as technology changes
  • Design and maintain security architecture for internal and external user applications as technology changes
  • Ensure that necessary security checkpoints are included in all DevOps pipelines


Required Qualifications
  • Seven or more years of information technical cyber security experience
  • Two or more years of project management experience
  • Experience integrating Cyber Security technologies with existing technologies
  • Experience implementing Cyber Security technologies with enterprise-wide impact
  • Bachelor's degree, technical area preferred or technical training equivalent (Master's Degree desired)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office or similar tools
  • Ability to work well in a team development setting
  • If offered a position with Humana Government Business you would be required to go through the eQIP process to obtain Government Security Clearance to work on government systems
  • Our Department of Defense contract requires U.S. citizenship


Preferred Qualifications
  • CISSP or CEH or similar certification
  • Healthcare related experience
  • Experience with Microsoft .NET technologies
  • Experience with Azure, AWS or other cloud computing platform
