The DSNP Community Outreach Manager work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The DSNP Community Outreach Manager collaborates with internal stakeholders including sales, operations, network, and bold goal, as well as external partners, such as physicians, faith-based organizations, and community groups, to improve the lives of members most at risk. Participates in strategy sessions with Market President and Director. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Prior experience with laptop computers, cell phones and the ability to navigate mobile apps. This also includes knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
  • This role is part of Humana's Driver safety program and requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits. This role also requires running a Motor Vehicle Report as part of the background check process
  • Although this is a field position, there will be times when you will be working from home so you must have the ability to provide high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Also, associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
  • Internet requirements include a minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload).
  • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • Working conditions will require a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
  • Must reside within the assigned territory or have plans to relocate at your own expense

Preferred Qualifications

  • Health & Life licenses not required to start but will need to be obtained within 90 days of the start date
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree
  • Sales or marketing background a plus
  • Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid products or background selling Medicare products a plus
  • Engaged with the community through service, organizations, activities and volunteerism
  • Bilingual with the ability to speak, read and write in both English and an additional language without limitations or assistance
