Humana is seeking an experienced management professional to lead the Pharmacy Drug Infusion Strategy team. In this role, he/she will be responsible for the strategy that optimizes patient infusion experience, clinical outcomes, pharmacy growth and total cost of care. The director of infusion strategy will execute on opportunity evaluation, planning oversight, coordinating the development of programs and monitoring outcomes.
This position will lead a small team tasked to work across a matrixed organization to deliver a cohesive infusion strategy that supports the health plan and pharmacy assets. He or she will work and collaborate with leaders across the Humana enterprise, HPS executive leaders as well as have extensive engagement representing Humana with external vendors and providers. This includes leading external negotiations on pricing and performance guarantees and representation of Humana at client meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Develops short and long range pharmacy drug infusion strategy including development of business plans, operating budgets and financial and growth projections for investments
  • Interfaces and negotiates with external consultants and clients in the development of contracts, terms and conditions, and performance guarantees
  • Development of key opportunities leveraging insights, market trends, industry feedback to meet key objectives and leverages information to devise new or improved product offerings
  • Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in specialty growth initiatives
  • Collaborates with other functions and stakeholders within the company to plan activities to support pharmacy growth initiatives, site of service optimization, drug access and benefit design

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of leadership experience in a corporate environment
  • 8+ years of experience at executive level leading product management or consumer experiences
  • 8+ years of experience with end-to-end execution of clinical and/or Healthcare products
  • Deep business and financial acumen
  • Experience in strategic planning and business development
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of prescription drugs, with deep knowledge of specialty drug pricing, benefit management and distribution
  • Strong track record of driving solutions that achieved clinical and financial outcomes
  • Demonstrates initiative with a results orientation, and is highly resourceful (stretches people and money; compresses time)
  • Experience with effectively coaching, developing and leading direct reports and cross-functional teams
  • Complex and innovative problem-solving, analytical, critical and strategic thinking capabilities; knows how to create options and then converge on solutions
  • Brings an organized, attention-to-detail approach (strong tactical execution)
