Essential Duties:

  • Support Treasury with a wide range of clerical activities
  • Assist Treasury Department with calculations and research relating to the management of HUB investing, trust positions and disbursement activities
  • Assist with maintenance of Treasury department internal and external reports and analyses
  • Support the FTNI/ETRAN processes and related users
  • Provide support for the HUB Travel Card Program, including new credit card setup, managing disputes, follow-up on fraud alerts and rebate tracking/reporting.
  • General Treasury support for tasks such as opening of new accounts and setting up banking services for new offices
  • Help in the analysis, reconciliation and reporting of actual versus expected g/l postings for bank fees, investments and debt activities
  • Support Treasury special projects
  • Provide general Treasury support to HUB field locations and other internal HUB departments
  • Collect, organize, and process tax-related mail
  • Monitor tax e-mail inbox
  • Assist in preparation and payment of non-income tax related returns and filings, including gross receipts tax, sales and use tax, and personal property taxes
  • Assist with resolving notices from various taxing authorities
  • Communicate with colleagues from local and regional offices in order to collect required information for use in various tax filings
  • Monitor tax-department filing calendar and tracker for due dates and payments of taxes
  • Run reports using Oracle and Hyperion financial reporting software, as well as Smartview Excel Add-in
  • Assist in preparation and preparation of federal and state income tax returns (including use of Onesource Income Tax software)
  • Other duties as needed
  • 2 to 4 years of college preferred (preferably, with an Associates and/or Bachelor's degree attained)
  • 1-year Treasury and/or banking experience preferred
  • 1-3 years' Insurance industry experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • No previous tax experience required, but tax exposure would be helpful
  • Excellent organizational skills, especially in a paperless/low-paper usage environment
  • Able to work independently as well as with a team primarily located in other offices
