About the Position
Based in Oakville, Ontario and reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Analyst will be part of the Eastern Canadian CFO team, with personnel in across Eastern Canada. The successful applicant will maintain and distribute existing reporting and analysis as related to financial and operational metrics. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and analyze the general ledger and monthly activities from divisions and acquisitions into Oracle ERP system (including financial reporting software Oracle Hyperion)
  • Participate in the month-end close process, including responsibility for revenue reporting on Day 1 of the close, along with review of journal entries and the P&L
  • Research, identify, and communicate key variances relating to financial and operational metrics
  • Assist in due diligence on potential acquisition targets
  • Assist in integrating M&A deals into the existing operations, including tracking of earnout calculations
  • Improve upon existing reporting as requested by management
  • Provide ad-hoc financial and operational analysis to support business decisions
  • Contribute to preparation of business presentations for Executive management
  • High degree of involvement in annual budget process
  • Assist the operations and sales team on proper workflow
  • Liaise with the HUB Financial Centre (transactional accounting centre)
  • Various other as hoc assignments, as required
  • Provide guidance and support for other analyst team members in a supervisory capacity
  • Assist Finance management with day to day tasks and special requests
Position Requirements
  • CPA (CA, CGA or CMA) required with at least 2 years post-qualifying experience
  • Highly proficient MS Excel skills
  • PowerPoint knowledge
  • Strong ability to learn systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and willingness to work overtime, particularly during the month-end close and budget process
  • Proactive drive to get things done and anticipate what is needed

Required Education: Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
