Regional Marketing Manager – Employee Benefits

HUB International's marketing team has an exciting new role offering the autonomy to drive employee benefit marketing strategies for our assigned region.Working directly with HUB's regional employee benefit and sales leaders, you will facilitate messaging from a "corporate-down" perspective and develop "field-up" marketing strategies and initiatives.

As a member of the regional marketing team, the Regional Marketing Manager will work with Senior Marketing Leaders, Regional Employee Benefit Sales Leaders, and local office managing partners to lead the development and measurement of strategic marketing plans designed to achieve office and regional growth goals.

In this new role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Serving as a member of the regional marketing leadership team, which includes other regional and national marketers
  • Developing relationships with regional and local leadership to effectively lead the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans to achieve growth goals and increase market share and brand awareness
  • Obtaining and analyzing marketing data and information relative to marketing tactics to drive ROI measurement and strategic marketing planning
  • Conducting competitor, industry, and market research and analyzing results to develop marketing campaigns and provide service teams with intelligence for winning business
  • Developing follow-up campaign best practices and working with sales leaders to ensure timely outreach
  • Developing measurable and cost-effective marketing programs, which may include event marketing, direct marketing, advertising, telemarketing, media relations, webcasts, and integration of national marketing campaigns
  • Sharing best practices with other industry and functional marketing team members and recommending ideas for improving overall marketing effectiveness and efficiency
  • Driving brand consistency in the assigned region
  • Ensuring development of strong relationships with key target industry associations with the goal of advancing marketing objectives
  • Creating, implementing, and measuring events designed to generate interest among prospective customers and deepen relationships with existing customers
  • Ensuring events are planned and executed as part of an omni-channel campaign, managing the contract process and negotiating with vendors, creating and managing communication with event attendees, participating in event strategy sessions, utilizing project management software to execute a high volume of events throughout the year, clearly communicating expectations to event presenters and assisting with presentation content creation, providing on-site event support, consulting local offices with event preparation, managing event budgets, identifying event success metrics and reporting on them post-event, and managing post-event follow-up strategies for both attendees and internal stakeholders
  • Communicating office, region, and other relevant firm marketing activities throughout assigned offices
  • Working to ensure that marketing is seen as a true business partner throughout the company
  • Acting as conduit for locally sourced feedback and building trusted and enduring relationships with local sales teams
  • Sharing best practices with other industry and functional marketing team members
  • Travelling occasionally to various locations throughout the region for strategy planning and marketing execution


This role will serve as the liaison between the Employee Benefits Practice, National Marketing, and the Regional Offices, deploying corporate strategies locally. With a more localized approach, this individual will work directly with regional and local leaders to drive increased utilization and higher success around our marketing initiatives and grow our regional brand presence with customers. This individual will lead cross-functional strategies and collaborate closely with various members of the organization.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in business, marketing, communications, or related field or equivalent education

  • Minimum of 5 years of strategic marketing experience; insurance brokerage or professional services firm experience strongly preferred
  • 3 years of supervisory/management experience with a focus on building high-performing teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with employees of all levels, critical thinking ability with business and marketing aptitude, strong project management and organizational skills, ability to manage internal client expectations and to prioritize and plan work activities, precise attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a matrixed team environment, where the completion of projects depends on collaboration with marketing and practice professionals, often from varying levels and different departments

  • Proven communication planning and management skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, and program management skills (Workfront experience preferred)
  • Experience utilizing CRM and marketing automation software (Microsoft Dynamics and ClickDimensions preferred)

  • Experience writing for different media—including electronic, audio, video, print
  • Ability to collect and analyze data from various sources to develop ROI reports
