Personal Insurance Account Manager

As a Personal Lines Account Manager, you can be part of a growing industry and an expanding company. You will have the opportunity to provide sales and customer service to our Personal Lines clients. You will help our team build stronger relationships with our clients and help protect companies in our community. You will be responsible for outside new business sales solicitation and servicing of personal lines insurance clients, rounding out accounts, and retaining existing accounts.

In this role you will:

  • Service and sell personal insurance products to prospective and existing clients
  • Meet mutually established activity or sales goals
  • Gather underwriting, pricing, and supporting data for preparation of submission and coordinate efforts with Assistant Account Mangers and Assistant Service Representatives
  • Cross-sell and support renewal efforts
  • Provide accurate quotes based upon complete information
  • Maintains prospect log in Pipeline System and reviews periodically with manager as necessary
  • Retains and services existing accounts, maintains direct communications with each client as necessary to retain and service those clients
  • Generate applicable reports
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with company sales representatives, service centers, underwriting, and claim representatives
  • Provide quality customer service to existing accounts
  • Preparation of new client proposals
  • Assist in training other employees
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Pursue professional studies and maintain familiarity with trends in the industry and new insurance products

What you offer us:

  • Property/Casualty License or be willing to sit for exam within 90 days of hire date
  • Meet bonding requirements
  • 2-4 years' insurance brokerage or property casualty insurance sales experience
  • Strong sales aptitude
  • Willingness to make prospecting calls and network to develop new business
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Understand and analyze insurance coverages, forms, and policies
  • Above average math skills and ability to rate insurance policies
  • Strong written, oral, and phone communication skills
  • Organize, set, and maintain priorities
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Basic knowledge/experience with an agency management system
  • Work normally scheduled hours and additional time as needed
  • Working to obtain a CIC/CISR designation
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and agency rating software
