Commercial Insurance Associate Account Executive

About this job:

The Associate Account Executive will be a key position within the department that will play a vital role in the growth and development of our largest programs and clients, both nationally and locally in scope. The position will be a challenging mix of working with outside partners (accountants, actuaries, etc.), internal resources within HUB and the clients themselves. The candidate should be confident, responsible, and open to advancement in the underwriting and administrative areas.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with new and existing clients in a manner that is professional, effective, and efficient
  • Promptly respond to all clients, Account Executives, and Financial Analysts inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Review clients with Account Executive/Financial Analysts and prepare related documentation, such as policies, reinsurance contracts, feasibility analysis charts, loss runs, annual meeting documents, etc.
  • Assist with follow up for outstanding information and reports
  • Acknowledge and track claims as reported
  • Assist with underwriting and with inputting information into software systems
  • Assist with client billing
  • Assist with new business proposals
  • Create and maintain client compliance documents
  • Maintain client files
  • Prepare and send policies, annual meeting documents, reinsurance contracts, invoices, loss runs, and renewal questionnaires to the clients throughout the policy year
  • Scan and file documents as required by Financial Analysts and Account Executives
  • Ensure policy limits, premiums, and losses are accurately recorded in the department database
  • Assists Account Executive/Account Manager as needed

What you offer us:

  • High school diploma required, though college degree preferred
  • Property & Casualty license desired
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint with ability to learn new systems as introduced
  • 1 year experience in commercial insurance is a definite asset, but we are willing to train
  • Superior Customer Service Skills
  • Ability to multi-task and interact in a professional manner with clients, colleagues, and operational functions
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Good problem solving skills and the ability to make the necessary decisions to move forward the work at hand
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under minimal daily direction
