About the Position:
The Accounts Payable Associate position reports directly to the Accounts Payable Supervisor and functions as part of a team. Key responsibilities include processing supplier invoices and check requests on a daily basis in the ERP system in an accurate and timely manner.
Role Description & Responsibilities:
- • Communicate with branch staff and managers to ensure proper processing and approvals on supplier invoices• Update Oracle invoices waiting to be processed to enable validation and routing for approval• Identify gaps in supplier set up and report back to AP Sr. Specialist with required changes• Contribute to a cooperative team environment in which cross functions are assumed as necessary in order to meet department deadlines and goals• Provide direct support to the Accounts Payables Supervisor as required
- • At least 1 year of experience in the accounting field• Experience in a shared services accounting environment preferred• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Basic Word and Excel skills• Strong analytical and problem solving skills• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines• High degree of accuracy with a good eye for detail• Self-motivated and proactive• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and achieve results in a fast-paced and changing environment• Must have some flexibility of work hours and have ability to potentially put in extra hours during peak times
Required Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience
Required Travel: Negligible
Required Education: High school or equivalent
