SAP Business Objects Developer

We are seeking talented Business Intelligence Developer in Payroll Platforms and Business Intelligence Team (PPBI).

PPBI is responsible for HR and Payroll data integration, Business Intelligence and providing IT solutions to Payroll function within HP.

The ideal candidate applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives.

Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution.

Applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues.

Responsibilities:

Participates as a member of development team. Performs basic analysis of functional or business requirements.

Works in the data warehouse/BI environment and understand the dimensional modeling concepts.

Design and develop the Universe, reports and dashboards using the defined Reporting standards and work with the support team to deploy into production.

Debug issues that comes up in testing, should be able to analyze the SQL statements and troubleshoot issues both in the reporting platform and the database..

Should effectively collaborate with business partners and technical team members.

Resolve production issues within the established ETA.

Education and Experience Required:

A Technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2+ years of related experience or a Master's degree and up to two years of experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

2+ years of experience in SAP Business objects and relational databases like Oracle and/or SQL Server.

Advanced SQL skills.

Knowledge of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Architecture.

Experience in Oracle PL* SQL Procedures. Debugging SQL Statements for performance tuning.

Exposure to reporting and dashboarding tools like QlikView and PowerBI is a plus.

Experience of one or more full release cycles. Basic understanding of modern software development methodologies.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
